Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for her pioneering modern research of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and received numerous national and international awards. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and studies pertaining to child victims of the law by the system. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of a variety of professional organizations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
